South Perth: Man accused of one-punch attack has charge upgraded to murder

THE man accused of killing a South Perth man with a one-punch attack has had his charge upgraded to murder.

Arron Leigh Rebbeck allegedly punched Steven Richards in the head outside his South Perth flat near the intersection of Hurlingham Road and Mill Point Road on November 7.

Mr Richards was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and placed on life support, but died four days later.

Following the Homicide Squad’s investigations, police have upgraded the previous charge of grievous bodily harm.

Mr Rebbeck will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
