South Perth: teacher charged with historical sex offences against 15-year-old boy

POLICE have charged a 70-year-old Safety Bay man with child sex offences, allegedly committed while he was a teacher at a South Perth college.

The allegations stem from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

It is alleged between April and July 1975 the man, who was a teacher at a college in South Perth, sexually assaulted a 15-year old male student.

The man has been charged with four counts of carnal knowledge and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
