The day will see a number of Transperth bus drivers swap their uniforms for a costume to support Radio Lollipop and sick children in WA hospitals.

Peter Cherry, who works out of the |O’Connor Depot, said he loved participating every year.

‘It gives me the chance to raise funds and give sick children in hospital a place to have fun and make their stay a little easier and happier,’ he said.

The fundraising effort last year raised almost $100,000.

A number of yellow Radio Lollipop collection tins will be placed on every bus and volunteers will be shaking tins at train stations.

The funds will support children staying at Princess Margaret, Armadale, Fremantle, Kalgoorlie and St John of God Murdoch hospitals and the Joondalup Health Campus.
