The Active Life Program in the Town of Victoria Park is designed to give locals the chance to keep fit and active through a variety of activities, especially for people who don’t like the gym or pool.

The popular Mothers’ Healthy Lifestyle Program is a specialised post-natal fitness alternative for new mums and their babies.

Interactive and social, it allows mums to work at an intensity that suits their level of fitness.

The Town has made the program affordable for new mums by subsidising the cost of a regular mums with bubs fitness class, with Active Life’s classes costing $7.20 per session for six sessions.

The most recent program began in late April and will return to the Active Life calendar soon.

‘Not everyone likes lifting weights or getting on a treadmill and the Active Life Programs are a fantastic way to stay active, no matter what age you are,’ said Mayor Trevor Vaughan.

‘There’s always something to do with different programs throughout the year, and with so much variety there’s an activity for everyone.’

Future Active Life programs will include photography, walking groups, bike safety and nutrition.
