Street lights damaged

Overnight on May 25, numerous lights had been broken off from their bases or had their light smashed.

Kensington Police Senior Sergeant Ash Goy made his frustration clear in the damage report.

‘These lights are put there for a specific reason ” to assist walkers and riders enjoying the surrounds,’ he said.

‘More importantly, they provide a degree of personal security and confidence in the public using this access after hours.

‘I am disturbed but not surprised we have these people in our community who attempt to destroy the efforts the local council provide us. No doubt, they will be replaced, but that is not point.’
