Streetwatch: Burswood, Belmont and St James incidents being investigated

BURSWOOD

WEMBLEY Police are seeking assistance with its investigation of a theft at apartments on Hampton Street, Burswood.

On Wednesday, May 2 about 2pm, a man and woman entered the laundry area of the units and attempted to force open coin trays of communal washing machines and double-stack dryers with a sharp implement.

Damage was caused to several machines, but the assailants were unable to take any coins.

The man is described as fair- skinned, 45-55 years old, with a slim build and long grey hair tied in a ponytail.

He was wearing a black ‘Champion’ jumper, green t-shirt under the jumper, black jeans and black shoes.

The woman is described as fair- skinned, 20-30 years old with a slim build and red-blonde hair.

She was wearing a black crop top, black tights and black boots.

She also had a large black bag over her shoulder.

BELMONT

BELMONT Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with a theft investigation.

About 3pm on May 7, a man entered the store at a shopping centre along Belmont Avenue, Belmont with an empty bag.

He browsed the store and upon leaving had his bag checked and it was full of items.

The man then went back into the store and exited through an emergency door, setting off an alarm.

The man is described as olive- skinned with a solid build, 170cm tall with black short hair and a large scar above his left eye.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and black shoes.

ST JAMES

POLICE are seeking help to locate two men they believe may be able to assist them with a theft investigation.

On April 5, about 10.45pm, the owner of a home on Alday Street in St James spotted two men attempting to steal a scooter from her open carport.

The first man is described as tan-skinned, medium build, wearing grey clothes.

The second man is described as tan-skinned, medium build with a protruding nose.

He was last seen wearing all grey clothes.
