Streetwatch: police investigate Cloverdale, Como, Belmont and Karawara incidents


A REWARD of up to $50,000 is available for information that leads to the apprehension and conviction of arsonists involved in a Cloverdale building fire.

In the early hours of the morning of October 24, 2017, a blue coloured sedan with four occupants pulled up outside a grocery store and a kebab shop on Belmont Avenue.

The offenders smashed the front windows of both businesses before pouring an unknown liquid through the openings and setting it alight.

The fire caused extensive damage to both businesses.


POLICE are seeking assistance about an assault that took place along a cycle path on Kwinana Freeway South, Como.

About 11am on April 5, the victim was riding along the cycle path before she was approached by a man who became aggressive towards her for not moving out of the way. The man tried to grab the victim several times before she managed to ride away.

The man is described as light-skinned, aged in his 50s or 60s with grey hair.

He was last seen wearing black and white cycle gear, with a black and blue Focus bike.


POLICE in Belmont are seeking public assistance in identifying a group of people who may be able to assist with a stealing and fraud investigation.

The two women and man in question were last seen exiting a liquor store in the local area.


POLICE have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with an investigation.

On March 13 about 3.10pm, a woman entered a toilet cubicle inside a shopping centre in Karawara.

While the woman was inside half undressed, she noticed a mobile phone appear under the cubicle wall next to her so called out and she heard what she thought was a male voice respond.

The man shown on CCTV is described as 18-25 years old, about 165cm tall, thin build with short dark hair, wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, blue button-up top and orange-coloured shorts.
