Surprisingly good goals for Eagles

Michele NugentSouthern Gazette

WEST Coast Eagles past and current players, and their fans, kicked a "Surprisingly Good Goal" across the Swan River in Burswood today.

Club legend Quinten Lynch and current players Jack Darling and Andrew Gaff answered a challenge by SGIO to kick a goal across the river to raise funds for community initiatives across WA.

Called the "Surprisingly Good Goal" initiative, it raised $5000, with the AFL well-knowns and their fans trying to kick a footy through a custom set of AFL goals erected on a barge floating in the middle of the Swan.
