IT was third time lucky for Elise Nazzari when she claimed the crown of Miss Galaxy Australia.
After four days of photo shoots and modelling on the Gold Coast, the Burswood resident was named the winner on April 1 and will now compete on the international stage.
Ms Nazzari said she was in shock when she was named the winner after competing in the event for a third time.
“Last year’s winner tried to sash and crown me but she was struggling because I was shaking so much,” she said.
“I can barely remember the moment, there was so much going on.
“I was standing up there with the second runner-up who I had become friends with because we were room-mates during the week.
“I’m proud to be Miss Galaxy Australia and of the outcome of the competition.”
Ms Nazzari said she would travel and prepare ahead of the 2017 Galaxy International Pageant in Florida in July.
“It will be a similar process to the lead-up to the nationals; I will make appearances and do some charity work,” she said.
“There is an opportunity to do some international travel and I’ll be heading to the UK.”
