Miss Nazzari said she was in shock when she was named the winner after competing in the event for a third time.

“Last year’s winner tried to sash and crown me but she was struggling because I was shaking so much,” she said.

“I can barely remember the moment, there was so much going on.

“I was standing up there with the second runner-up who I had become friends with because we were roommates during the week.

“I’m proud to be Miss Galaxy Australia and the outcome of the competition.”

Miss Nazzari said she would travel and prepare ahead of the 2017 Galaxy International Pageant, which will be held in Florida during July.

“It will be a similar process to the lead-up to the national finals, I will be making appearances and doing some charity work,” she said.

“There is an opportunity to do some international travel and I’ll be heading to the UK.

“The previous winner tried to break down the stereotypes of pageant girls and I’ll continue that.”
