LATHLAIN residents have until next Monday to join a community reference group to have a say in the development of the Lathlain Park Management Plan.

The Town of Victoria Park is seeking 12 candidates to represent a broad cross-section of the community.

The West Coast Eagles and Perth Football Club will invite four of the members, while eight will be selected to represent the town, Mayor Trevor Vaughan said.

Cr Vaughan said group members would contribute important feedback to the redevelopment process.

“The Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment is a project that everyone can be proud of and will deliver a huge array of community benefits,” he said.

“With our project partners the West Coast Eagles and Perth Football Club, we want to deliver a community recreation and activity space that all can enjoy for generations to come.”

He said the community would be given an opportunity to help shape the management plan for zones one, two and three of the project, but particularly zone two, which is the community activity zone.

Cr Vaughan said several workshops will also be held over the coming weeks.
