Owner Raj Selvendra said in the past 15 years they have sold 26 Division One winning tickets, including four last year.

“We’ve been number one because we have good feng shui,” he said.

“I have a feng shui master come from Hong Kong every year.

“He marks out where everything should be.

“He looks at the architecture, the wind and the water.

“Feng shui is about confluence.”

Mr Selvendra said the good feng shui not only brought good fortune to his customers, but his business as well.

“We have the highest turnover in Australia,” he said.

“In Lotto sales, while the rest of WA is down seven per cent, we are up by six per cent.”

The second luckiest kiosk was Nextra Forum West Newsagency in Mandurah.

Owners Glenn and Jenny Cornish said people came from Perth to purchase Lotto tickets from their lucky store.

“We’ve sold two Division One winning tickets this year,” Mr Cornish said.

“Many people will only buy their tickets from certain staff members.

“Every staff member has their own following, they’ve developed a rapport.”

Mr Cornish said some customers would leave if their favourite staff member was not working. They would return the next day to purchase their Lotto ticket from their “lucky charm.”

Mr Cornish said seeing people win Lotto was fantastic, especially when it went to deserving people.

He said it was encouraging Lotterywest contributed funding to worthy causes in the community.

“It’s a win/win situation,” he said.
