During these search warrants, detectives located and seized an assortment of ammunition, an unlicensed homemade handgun, a hydroponic cannabis set up, assorted drug paraphernalia and various amounts of cannabis material, cannabis plants, methylamphetamine, heroin and dexamphetamine.

Kensington Detectives officer in charge Detective Senior Sergeant Tom Tristram said said Operation Nebulous was an initiative targeting mid-level methylamphetamine dealers across the South East Metropolitan District with a connection to other crime.

“It is well known that drug users commit volume crime offences to fuel their drug use,” he said.

“By targeting mid-level dealers and removing the source for these drugs we generally see a decrease in burglary and stealing offences shortly after these type of operations.”

Anyone with information regarding the manufacture or distribution of illicit drugs is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
