POLICE have called for witnesses to a crash that took place in Victoria Park last month in which a man and a woman were seriously injured.

Traffic Enforcement Group officers say a 59-year-old woman was driving a blue 1994 Ford Laser hatchback along Berwick Street away from Canning Highway on Friday, August 3 at 10.20pm.

She lost control of her car near Armagh Street and it crossed the carriageway, crashing into a red 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback travelling in the opposite direction on Berwick Street.

The driver of the Ford received serious head and leg injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

The driver of the Alfa Romeo, a 45-year-old woman, escaped with minor injuries but her 54-year-old male passenger received serious injuries.

Both were taken to Royal Perth Hospital.
