THE Bedi family are all set for a double celebration when they are made Australian citizens on Friday.

Sanjeev, Mini and Arjun (5) will join about 30 families at the Town of Victoria Park’s citizenship ceremony on Australia Day, after moving from India in 2009.

It will also be an extra special day for Sanjeev and Mini, as they celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.

Mrs Bedi said she and her husband moved from Punjab, India to Australia in 2009 on student visas.

“We moved here because of the nice weather and it’s a good place to live while it also provides many opportunities for kids,” she said.

Mr Bedi said Australia was the “best country” with nice people.

The Bedi family also plans to enjoy the Australia Day Skyworks during the evening.
