ART and business will come together for a series of workshops in Victoria Park during the coming months.
The Victoria Park Centre for the Arts is running Art Practice: Arts Business for the second year from March to June at The Dutch Trading Co.
Centre board member Dianne Smith said the concept of the workshops was to bring the organisation into the community and connect artists with new contacts.

“We’ve got a number of speakers from the industry including a few practicing artists.
“It’s a chance to learn some tricks from artists and understand how to apply for grants from organisations like the Department of Culture and the Arts.”
Ms Smith said the sessions were open to the community and anyone interested in the arts.
“It’s a chance to learn from each other,” she said.
Bentley artist Fiona Harman said the idea of holding the sessions at a bar was to make them more accessible.
“It’s a bit less intimidating and not as elitist as some other venues, so people can come along and listen,” she said.
The sessions will take place on March 29, April 24, May 29 and June 29 at 6.30pm.
