Victoria Park: man (33) charged with trespass after Boxing Day incident

A 33-year-old Bentley man has been charged after an incident in Victoria Park in the early hours of Boxing Day.

Kensington Police charged the man after multiple reports were made of a person acting suspiciously and climbing into the rear yards of units on King George Street abour 1.30am on Monday morning.

Several police vehicles including a canine unit attended the area and Police Dog Razor was deployed and located a man matching the description hiding under bushes in the driveway of one of the unit complexes.

The man was arrested and taken to Kensington Police Station where he was charged with two counts of trespass and one of possessing a prohibited drug.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court on January 17.
