The club collects stamps, but not in the traditional way. Through Mr Nairn, the club accepts stamp donations from local businesses and residents before packing them into 25kg bags sent to Oxfam in England for sale to raise funds for its various global charity projects.

Mr Nairn recently found what he believes to be some rare American stamps dated between 1840-1860 and hopes they will fetch a higher price if sold separately.

He plans to donate the proceeds to a Rotary project called Interplast that sends volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgical teams to the Asia Pacific region. If you have stamps to donate to Rotary, contact Mr Nairn on 9361 2662.
