PERTH has earned a place in the finals after winning its last round WACA Premier Cricket clash against Mt Lawley.

Needing to win to secure a fourth consecutive finals appearance, the Demons rose to the occasion with an excellent fielding and bowling display.

They restricted the Hawks to 158 and the outstanding bowlers were Kyle Gardiner (3-35), Alex Calmy (3-20) and Jake Van Galen, who conceded just 29 runs from his 10 overs.

A superb century by Brad Garland and Scott Baker’s 74 powered third grade to victory and Rhys McVeigh returned to form with 76 in the fourths, who lost.

Perth have qualified for the finals in the top three grades and finished third in the Club Championship.
