JOIN WA Seabird Rescue for a quiz night at the South Perth Community Centre on June 8, from 6.30pm.

Door prizes, raffles and auctions will provide plenty of extra entertainment while all monies raised will go toward rehabilitating orphaned and injured seabirds and raising awareness of the threats faced by the birds.

THE Town of Victoria Park, with Act Belong Commit, will hold a Cultural Exchange Supper Catch-up at Subud Hall on June 12, from 7 to 8.30pm.

This event aims to help people get to know their community over a light supper.

Those attending will share their stories, language, culture and talents.

Attendees are asked to bring a light snack that they would like to share with others.

PERTH Aquaponics will hold an introductory workshop on June 9, from 9am to 3.30pm. The workshop is for those wishing to live a more sustainable life.

It will cover the fundamentals of Aquaponics, including how and why it works, different system types and designs and what fish and plants to grow.

At the end of the day it is hoped that those who attend the workshop will be able to start producing wonderful, organic vegetables and fresh fish, right in they own backyards.
