Youth minister now in senior position

‘I have always said to myself that I was prepared to work as a Youth Minister long term,’ he said.

‘However through the years I have been exposed to some great leadership training and after having completed that training I sensed that it was time to give senior leadership a go.’

With Easter only three weeks away, the church has a busy year ahead with plans to develop the 10-acre property in Como.

‘We are working towards developing our 10- acre property here in Como, so that it becomes a vibrant community hub in the city of South Perth,’ he said.

‘One of the projects is to include a low-cost health care centre managed by health care professionals from the community.

Also in roles as the Director of Youth Vision WA (Churches of Christ in WA) and State Co-ordinator of Arrow Leadership Australia, Mr Thom said he wanted to continue to build relationships with many of the community based organisations and schools in the city.
