McGrath Foundation thanks community for fundraising for breast cancer research

Janice TeoSouthern Gazette

THE McGrath Foundation says a huge thank you to the local community for getting behind our community cricket initiative, Pink Stumps Day, and helping to raise more than $1.2 million to help support families experiencing breast cancer in Australia.

The Foundation set community cricket teams a challenge to help smash the fundraising goal and it has not been disappointed. Thank you to Kent Street Senior High School, Kensington Primary School and Woolworths WA stores for their fantastic efforts.

Each group got their local community involved, turning their pitches pink and raised a collective $104,626.

Through support like this, we are able to ensure families experiencing breast cancer have access to a breast care nurse.

To date, the extensive network of breast care nurses has helped to support more than 36,000 families in Australia, no matter where they live or their financial situation.

As the McGrath Foundation says, together we can make a difference.
