WE are most concerned regarding the impending Dan Murphy’s liquor store to be built on the Como Hotel site.
This large-scale liquor outlet is primarily a “destination” superstore that will attract people from outer areas and encourage a higher level of alcohol consumption due to “specials” and “discounts” offers.
We have several small liquor outlets that are more than sufficient for the area and a large-scale Dan Murphy’s is not in the community’s best interest.
