Remove Union Jack

My choice is to retain the present flag but to remove the Union Jack and in its place put a kangaroo, boxing or otherwise.

This presents an instantly recognisable flag to the world, a boon at sporting events. Our population mix is not the same as when we were first settled so we don’t need a constant reminder of our colonial past.

It should be remembered that the Queen’s first priority is to Britain, ahead of us, especially in any worldwide commercial competition.

The other furphy is war. We mostly fought under the British flag (helping them out) or the Red Ensign. It really is time we stood on our own two feet and took the emotion and sentiment out of the debate.
