Riding madness

Janice TeoSouthern Gazette

I THOUGHT it downright, stupid and dangerous when I saw a cyclist riding flat out on the road with no hands while texting on his phone.

Another day I saw a woman riding a bike on a busy road with a child in a seat hanging on at the back of her. At least she did not have a mobile in her hand.

Both riders were riding parallel to a bike path.

But the next young fella takes the prize of being the village idiot. He was on his skateboard without a helmet, texting on his phone while riding on the footpath parallel to Canning Highway.

If you are one of these people, think of your family when a policeman knocks on the door to tell them there has been an accident.
