Is this because some bright spark decided to put a median strip in to restrict the flow so now when approaching Great Eastern Highway traffic in the left-hand lane has to scramble across to the right otherwise it ends up having to turn left into the Highway heading towards the airport.
This median strip has to be altered before any accidents occur.
Also the stretch of Abernethy Road from Fairbrother Street to Great Eastern Highway has not been fixed as promised by the Belmont mayor.
