Joining forces are Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) WA faculty chair Dr Sean Stevens and deputy faculty chair Dr Mary Wyatt.

Dr Stevens has a special interest in child health, mental health, skin cancer medicine and adult internal medicine (diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma) while Dr Wyatt has a special interest in women’s and child health, mental health, weight management and chronic disease.

Having launched to market last year, Next Practice’s mission is to put an end to “assembly-line” healthcare where doctors feel like a cog in the machine and patients feel like they are getting a cookie-cutter approach to care.

With more demand for medical practices, along with increasing levels of chronic disease and an ageing population, Next Practice knows a transformation of primary care to fit the modern-day lifestyle is critical.

Not just offering a new kind of care for people in Australia, with the Care 4 Care initiative, every consultation at a Next Practice clinic contributes towards a vaccination for someone in need living in a developing country, supporting the amazing work carried out by Unicef Australia

The new East Victoria Park clinic boasts a variety of modern features include a reimagined waiting room, dubbed the living room, with floor to ceiling “living walls” and Next Practice’s touchscreen technology, used for entertainment and self-check-in.

A large interactive screen creates meditative sounds, beats like a heart when you touch it, and shares news and interesting articles from the clinic.

Rather than the traditional receptionist stuck behind the desk, Patient Advocates are available to ensure each patient receives seamless and supportive care, assisting with pre and post consults.

There is also a children’s hang-out area with iPads.

With eight consulting rooms, on-site pathology, treatment and procedure room, and a multitude of services, Next Practice Victoria Park is for all locals

Join Next Practice Victoria Park for the official opening day on Saturday, October 19, at 1009-1015 Albany Highway, East Victoria Park (part of the new Aldi precinct), where there will be activities for the whole family.
