Carlisle’s new captain Bayden Drew (22) from St James leads the team with the anticipation of a strong season, but will wait until the derby to see if his youth gain the upper hand against Belmont captain Joel Cooper (22) of Rivervale.

‘It should be pretty good ” there’s a good rivalry between us ” there should be a fair few people who will come out to support us,’ Drew said.

Cooper is back to captain the Bombers for a fourth year after missing out last season due to injury.

The long-time Belmont player, on board since he was seven-years-old playing Auskick, said he was keen.
