Area 5 Soccer Club to host 5-a-side on bowling club green

TWO community sporting clubs have joined forces to maximise playing space for members.

Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club and the Area 5 Soccer Club formed an arrangement that will have the soccer club using the bowling greens for five-a-side matches.

The soccer competition will involve people of all ages and genders and is expected to launch in late June.

Bowling Club president Meryl Bolton said she was excited about the project and the prospect of having the two clubs involved and interacting.
