Ascot rings in Chinese New Year

Sophie MooreSouthern Gazette

THE Auto Classic BMW Raceday at Ascot attracted 4000 people celebrating the 2017 Chinese New Year with a day at the track.

The trophy was snatched at a photo finish by Salorsci, trained by Jeff Noske and ridden by his son Jarrad Noske.

Unfortunately the year of the rooster was not on the side of The Lucky Rooster Maiden in Race 2, who failed to crow as it came in behind favourite Faulty.
