Basketball: Perth Redbacks dominate road trip against Mandurah Magic

PERTH Redbacks enjoyed a successful trip to Mandurah on Anzac Day, winning both games against the Magic.

The Redbacks’ women’s team defeated the Magic 84-68 with Kayla Standish top-scoring with 18 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds.

In a balanced scoring effort, Jessica Jakens scored 15 points and Mikayla Pirini scored 14 points and dished out five assists.

Anita Brown top-scored for the Magic with 17 points and claimed eight rebounds.

In the men’s SBL, the Redbacks overpowered the Magic 113-82 with Shawn Redhage pouring in 28 points on 10-13 field goals while also being perfect from the free throw line (7-7).

Mo Barrow scored 20 points, including four three-pointers, to help Perth power home while Shaun Stewart top-scored for the Magic with 32 points.
