College contributes horde of hockey talent

Year 10 students Matthew Tate and Joseph Kenny were also chosen in the All Australian side for their age division.

Under 13s representatives James Cameron, James Collins and Kyle Potter will head to Melbourne next school holidays to compete in their round of competition, while Ben Taylor, Lachlan Sampson, James Leigh and Andrew Vuori will tour in Darwin as part of the Under 15s.

Under 16s representatives Matthew Tate, Joseph Kenny, Joshua Brennan and Connor O’Neil played in Tasmania in the July school holidays, with the WA team placing fourth in the competition.

Under 18s representatives Simon Benetti, James Benetti, Sam Ronan and Riley Lloyd played in Newcastle.

Connor O’Neil said he had enjoyed playing for WA in Tasmania and that the coaching staff worked hard during and in the lead up to the event.

‘It’s a great opportunity and experience to be able to play against teams from other states,’ he said.
