Cricket: local students selected in state under-12 teams

FIVE students from South Perth, Como and Victoria Park schools have been named in the School Sport WA under-12 girls and boys cricket teams.

Jean McKinlay from Ursula Frayne Catholic College and Samantha Pope from Como Secondary College have been named in the girls’ team.

Benjamin Middlemas and Mitchell Oliver, both from Wesley College, and Cameron Van Dueren from Kent Street Senior High are in the boys’ team.

The teams will travel to Canberra from January 6-13 for the national championship series.

All players and parents are required to attend a compulsory Parent Information Session and Uniform Try-on at Central Tafe in East Perth on November 2 from 6pm-7:30pm.
