Demon Clint Jones impresses in WA’s massive 134-point win over Tasmania

WESTERN Australia cruised to a 134-point win over Tasmania in the state clash at Bassendean Oval on Saturday.

Claremont’s Jye Bolton claimed the Simpson Medal for best on ground in the 24.14 (164) to 4.6 (30) win.

The Black Swans led by three goals at the first break but accelerated heavily from there to lead by 10 at half-time.

Fifteen goals to three in the second half powered the hosts to a massive win.

Bolton gathered 46 disposals, took 12 marks and booted two goals.

East Fremantle speedster Brett Peake booted seven, followed closely by South Fremantle power forward Ben Saunders who kicked six.

Perth’s Clint Jones had 20 disposals and took three marks.Former Adelaide Crows forward Ian Callinan kicked two goals for the visitors.
