Aaron CorlettSouthern Gazette

BELMONT Junior Football Club is looking to fly up this season after launching new jerseys.

The Bombers’ new outfits have changed for the first time in many years, according to president Tony Pickburn.

“It comes after we changed our logo about 12 months ago and now we have new jerseys and apparel” he said.

“I’m very happy with how they’ve come out, they look very modern and it’s a new era for the club.”

Pickburn said pre-season had been good ahead of the start of the season on April 27.

“The numbers have been really good and I think the Belmont Redcliffe Junior Football Academy in the off-season has helped,” he said.

“It’s an exciting and crazy time of the year but without the volunteers we couldn’t operate.”
