Driver Alex Davison joined the locals to announce exciting new changes for the Barbagallo Raceway event, which is on from May 3 to 5.
Mr Fiore said this meant for the first time in V8 Supercar history, fans would see Nissan and Mercedes cars of the future line-up alongside Holden and Ford.
‘This championship is the very pinnacle of motor sport in Australia and is sure to attract an impressive crowd,’ he said. Mr Fiore said coming to WA was always a great opportunity to visit family in South Perth and reflect on his professional career.
‘I’ve gone from go-karting as a kid in Kalgoorlie to competing in the premier motor sport category ” I’m living my dream,’ he said.
Eventscorp executive director Gwyn Dolphin said the Chill Perth 360 was an exciting feature on Perth’s calendar and gave locals a chance to see new vehicle manufacturers and faces. ‘Last year’s event attracted 43,000 spectators to the redeveloped track and we’re confident of even more visitors this year,’ he said.
