PERTH Blitz recorded resounding victories over an undermanned Westside Steelers in round seven at James Miller Oval.

Defensive lineman Jarrod Bennetts also scored a safety after the opposing quarterback was brought down in his own end-zone.

Passing took a back seat as running back Jon Liu rushed 18 times for 86 yards to score one touchdown and run two 2-point conversions.

Blitz sit fourth after consecutive victories.

Juniors also dominated in a 44-6 landslide to hold on to top spot.

Receiver Munya Matema scored two touchdowns, which included a punt return, while defensive lineman Rondelle Thorne made seven tackles, four sacks, and forced a fumble.

In round eight, the Blitz travel to Lark Hill Sporting Complex to take on Rockingham Vipers.

The juniors game will be first versus second, with the juniors’ only defeat this season courtesy of the Vipers.

The Vipers’ senior side are undefeated and occupy top spot.

Juniors play at 5pm, seniors kick off at 7pm, and women have another bye.
