Hockey: local players selected to represent WA Thundersticks against Great Britain

FOUR local players have been selected to play with the WA Thundersticks in a two game series against Great Britain.

The WA Thundersticks will take on Great Britain in two practice games this month as the international side prepares for upcoming tests against the Kookaburras and their Olympic Games campaign.

Perth Hockey Stadium will host the games next Monday and Wednesday before Great Britain play the Kookaburras in three test series from May 21-24.

Local players include Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club’s Ian Burcher, Old Aquinians Hockey Club’s Coby Green and Wesley South Perth Hockey Club’s Daniel Rayney and Cale Walsh.

Perth Hockey Stadium is located at Curtin University Campus, Hayman Road, Bentley and entry is by gold coin donation.
