Aaron CorlettSouthern Gazette

KOOKABURRAS forward Trent Mitton warmed up for this month’s Australian Hockey League (AHL) with two goals in Wesley South Perth’s 4-2 over Hale in Saturday’s qualifying final.

The Wasps sealed their progress to face UWA in a semi final in the WA Premier Division.

Leeming resident Mitton was last month named as one of three Wesley South Perth members in WA’s squad for the AHL to be played at Perth Hockey Stadium from September 28 to October 8.

In the women’s finals, WA representative Kara Flynn scored a double for Wesley South Perth as they won 4-2 over Hale.
