Local sporting clubs share spoils of grants for new equipment

THREE local clubs received money for new and shared equipment as part of the Department of Sport and Recreation’s Community Sporting Club Equipment Scheme.

The Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club, Belmont-based Perth Irish Rugby Club and Curtin University Rugby Union Football Club were among the clubs across the state to receive the one-off $500 subsidy to spend on increasing or upgrading shared sporting equipment.

In this round 281 regional clubs have received funds totalling $140,500 and 42 clubs in metropolitan Perth.
