Ascot Racecourse is gearing up for its biggest Melbourne Cup yet, with a massive day of racing and entertainment planned next Tuesday November 1.

The premier fixture on Melbourne Cup day in Perth, Ascot will have a full card of racing, including the Group 3 $150,000 Northerly Stakes and the $100,000 Burgess Queen Stakes.

With general admission tickets from $25.50 for early birds, all the way up to the height of luxury in a trackside corporate villa for $345, Ascot really has all the bases covered.

The menu at Ascot has had a significant overhaul, with Fraser’s Restaurant Group Executive Chef Chris Taylor assisting with the design of the new menu.

The Embargo Bar, a shipping container that has been lovingly restructured into a two-storey haven with a rooftop deck, is front and centre while  the new Mumm Champagne Bar will be filling glasses for those who prefer bubbles.

Neil Pinner, Chairman of Perth Racing, said people would appreciate the upgrades.

“We’ve made so many fantastic additions to Ascot Racecourse, including VIP areas, new pop-up bars and a new big video screen on the exterior of the 1900 Bar adjacent to the Bookmakers Pavilion,” Mr Pinner said.

“We’re encouraging all Perth sports fans, and those looking for a great day out with friends, to come and take a new look at our venue.”
