THE Perth Blitz kicked off their 2016-17 campaign with split results on October 8 with Round 1 of the new Gridiron West season kicking off for the club at Anniversary Park in Rockingham.
The Under 19s avenged their semi-final loss from the previous season over the reigning champions the Vipers by getting a win 22-12.
Zac Wood started his offensive campaign strongly by contributing 16 of those 22 points.
In the seniors, the result went the opposite way – a 12-0 win to the Vipers – but the Blitz was keen to take away the positives.
