Redbacks’ point-guard Joel Wagner was the game-high scorer with 25, along with five rebounds and four assists.
However, they were unable to secure a second win over the weekend, going down in a tight away-game to the Willetton Tigers 88-91.
The loss proved costly as the Redbacks’ men dropped from sixth to eighth place in the 14-team competition with eight wins and seven losses.

The Women’s team also split the weekend, beating the Hawks 65- 56 while losing to the Tigers 42-64.
Redbacks’ centre Marita Payne was the game-high scorer against the Hawks with 20, along with nine rebounds.
Payne was also their highest scorer in the loss to the Tigers with 14 and 10 rebounds.
Point-guard Rachel Lisch had 11 and six rebounds.
They now have five wins and six losses and are ninth in the 12-team competition.
– The Redbacks take on the Stirling Senators on Saturday in an away-game at the Warwick Leisure Centre, with the women’s game starting at 6pm and the men’s game at 8pm.
The men then play the Goldfields Giants in a home game on Sunday at noon at the WA Basketball Centre, Mt Claremont.
