Brandon Guest and Braydon Meuleman then combined for a century stand to drag their side back into the contest.

The second new ball and return of opening bowlers Liam Guthrie (4-53) and Josh Nicholas saw Perth win a pulsating contest.

Jacob van Galen gave good support with 3-74.

Gijs Kroesen was the star in Second Grade as his 6-24 destroyed the South Perth middle order, routing them for 124.

Perth then had a second innings and Adam Disisto and Tom Casey recorded half centuries.

This win now sees Perth sit on top of the ladder in Second Grade.

It was an even all round bowling effort in the Third Grade win for Perth, but leg-spinner Eamonn Munday with 4-76 was the pick.

Fourth Grade had a comfortable 122-run win, with Anil Kumar taking 3-29.

Both junior sides also recorded victories; the credit for the under 17 victory lies with Martyn Bernardino (4-23) and Harry Zimmerman (63).

The under 15 match was a sensational game of cricket, with South Perth being 4-228 at the end of their 60 overs chasing Perth’s 4-229, from the same overs, last weekend.
