After a slow start, the Demons started to lift and soon hit the front. Christian Eyres was working hard in the middle of the ground and Julian Jacobs and Dene White were reaping the rewards.

West Coast Eagle Sam Butler was rebounding well across half back.

A 20-point quarter-time lead became 39 points at half-time.
