IT was a perfect Takedown as the Gary Moore-trained four- year-old took out the Winterbottom Stakes Day last Saturday

The gentle giant was brought home by Tim Clark, triumphing over favourites Terravista and Malaguerra to secure the win a head length off Sheidel and WA’s Rock Magic at a close third.

It’s Moore’s first Group 1 win in Australia after returning to his home country after a stint in Asia.

Perth Racing chief executive Julian Sullivan said double the number of interstate and international gallopers have competed in this year’s races compared to last year .

The TABtouch Masters concludes with the Classic Day on Saturday December 3.

The richest Group 1 race in the Southern hemisphere, the $1 million prize will include Group 1 winner Good Project, back in form after falling lame two weeks ago and will ride with Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

Unfortunately Hazzabeel was stuck at the airport in Melbourne and won’t make it in time for registration.

Both Scales of Justice and Perfect Reflection are back for another go after finishing first and third respectively in the Railways Stakes two weeks ago. Entries close today with final barriers drawn at a function tomorrow.
