SBL: Perth Redbacks continue to spin impenetrable web against Eagles

Perth did have to come from behind at three quarter-time to win though .

East Perth led 66-63 at the last change but the Redbacks got going in the fourth period with 33 points to 17 to win by 13.

Shawn Redhage played all 40 minutes of the game for the Redbacks and ended up with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.

Ben Smith had a good game for Perth too with 24 points and six rebounds, nailing 5 of 11 from three-point range.

Riley Chappell stood up for the Redbacks with 12 points, with Diing Mawein contributing 12 points and Joel Wagner 10 to go with six assists.

The women’s team won their second straight game and are now building some momentum, having downed the Eagles by 16 points on their home floor.

Emilee Harmon had a good night for Perth with 20 points, nine rebounds and five steals but she had plenty of help.

Rebecca Benson added 14 points for the Redbacks, Ajay Johnson 12 (10 steals) and Bianca Donovan nine.

Eryn Fisher was impressive for the Eagles with 11 points and four rebounds, with Brianna Fisher adding 10 points.

Jodee Sontay also finished with 10 points and five rebounds for East Perth and Elainah Coffin 10 to go with eight boards, five assists and two steals.
