SBL: Redbacks cement top eight spot with 114-93 win over Goldfields

PERTH Redbacks men grabbed a 21-point win over Goldfield Giants 114-93, at Niels Hansen Basketball Stadium last Saturday.

The Redbacks have now won seven of their last eight matches and have cemented themselves in the top eight.

Perth started a fast game with 30 points to 20 in the first period, and the Giants never seriously threatened a comeback with the Redbacks easily securing the win.

The winning side shot well, going 41 from 81 from the field while hitting 10 of 26 from three-point range and 22 of 25 at the foul line.

The Redbacks also dominated the boards with 49 rebound to 37 and scored 40 points to 28 inside the paint.

Jourdan DeMuynck was the star of the night for the Redbacks with 41 points, 12 rebounds and six assists shooting 17 of 27 from the floor and 5 of 7 from three-point territory.

Joel Wagner added 15 points and eight assists for Perth, while Lewis Thomas chipped in with 15 points and 10 boards, and Michael Vigor 14 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
