Curtain up on soccer training

THE Curtin University Football (Soccer) Club’s youth development squad is starting early pre-season training and is inviting all players to join in.

Traning will be held until December 15 on Thursday nights at Raphael Park in Victoria Park; it will start at 6.30pm sharp and run for 90 minutes.

The teams play in State League under 18’s, Junior Boys under 18’s and Junior Boys 16’s. The State League usually plays Saturdays and Junior leagues Sundays, so availability and age is a factor in selection.

Teams will be named each week and players who are ready will also be able to progress into senior squads.

The development squad is also about ensuring players all get playing time and the two teams that play in juniors boys 18’s and 16’s are run with even playing time. State League 18’s does not have interchange.
