AFTER dropping their first two games this year, Saturday’s shut-out victory over Westside Steelers has made it four wins in a row for Perth Blitz.
But the game was marred by a post-match brawl which came after the referees called off the game halfway through the final quarter in a bid to defuse the tension.
The 32-0 win at James Miller Oval on Saturday consolidated the Blitz in third position on the standings six rounds into the Gridiron West season.
It was Blitz’s most complete triumph to date, as both offense and defence played well from the start against the bottom-placed Steelers.
But the tension spilled over after proceedings were called to a halt.
Match officials called an early end to the game halfway through the final quarter in an effort to calm things down, but to no avail.
Next week the Blitz host West Coast Wolverines on Saturday at James Miller Oval, with all three sides to feature.
